Long day today, no time to make a picture in between… Printing reference materials for my first meeting with engineer / thesis supervisor Chris Wise tomorrow, successfully milling two positives to insert into my mould, making embedded fixings for the next cast, sculpting one of the positives to suggest linkages between piazza and metro, and finally pouring another big cast. Just about cleaned up by kicking out time, and I got up at 4:30!
Have imagined plenty of next steps for the site model, making it more articulate and beginning to incorporate proposals. And also reflected that although I’ve had plenty of experience building scale models, I haven’t really spent a serious chunk of time on one at the Bartlett. So that’s what I plan to do, at the expense of drawings for now, before it’s too late.
